PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CO-CHAIR

Anna Beaulieu is currently a Legislative Correspondent in the office of U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse handling health care and education issues.

Anna is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland, and is a native of Warwick, Rhode Island. Her passion for building relationships and meaningful connections with constituents and other stakeholders in her home state of Rhode Island is one of her favorite parts about her job. Anna has worked in both chambers, and hopes her experience through multiple job searches on the Hill and mentoring disposition will enable her to be successful in helping folks build out their networks, establish support systems for job application processes, and advance long-term career goals.

Anna, who has been a member of WSCA for over a year and has benefited from extraordinary mentorship and professional guidance from the organization and its members, is honored and excited to serve in this role.

In her free time, Anna likes to walk around the city, try new sushi restaurants (always open to recommendations), or watch the West Wing.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CO-CHAIR

Eveleen Singh is a Staff Assistant at Congresswoman Scholten’s office. She started working on the Hill four months ago in hopes of becoming a Health legislative staffer.

Eveleen recently graduated from the University of Maryland with a pre-med and public health background. She is excited to marry her education and the skills she learns as a staffer.

Eveleen loves to read, weightlift, go to concerts, and explore the DC food scene. She is excited to help women find support and confidence in pursuing their career aspirations.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES CO-CHAIR

Meghan Gilkes currently serves Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) as the Director of Operations & Logistics in the Office of the President Pro Tempore. As of January 2023, Senator Murray is the first woman to ever serve as the “PPT” and Meghan was honored to open this new office and learn the nuances of this unique position; from handling the Senator’s new security detail to signing all the legislation before it heads to the President to become law (or get vetoed!). For the past 6 years, Meghan has served Senator Murray in capacity of her Director of Scheduling & Executive Assistant and her Deputy Scheduler before that.

Meghan found herself in Washington D.C. by way of the University of Maryland, College Park, where she graduated from in 2016 with duel degrees in History and Government & Politics.

Originally from New Jersey, Meghan lives in Hill East with her husband, Brandon, who works in the office of Senator Raphael Warnock; and their two rescue dogs, Norman and Ruth. Outside of work, Meghan is an avid reader, loves reality television, pop music, Philadelphia Eagles football, Disney World, and the Amtrak Northeast Regional line; which she frequents to visit family and friends often.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES CO-CHAIR

Bridget Henne currently serves as a Legislative Correspondent for Congressman Dave Joyce, who represents Ohio’s 14th District. Before this position, she was an intern and Staff Assistant for her home state Senator Kevin Cramer of North Dakota. This past May, Bridget graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Science from South Dakota State University. There she focused on agriculture and environmental law, as well as researching food insecurity throughout the Midwest.

As a former college runner, Bridget still enjoys long-distance running and often competes in local road races.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION CO-CHAIR

Janique Jules serves as a Staff Assistant with the Office of Congressman Jim Himes, representing Connecticut’s fourth district, where she has served since April 2023. Before working for Congressman Himes, she was an intern with Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04) with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation in January 2023, a legislative intern with Senator Alex Padilla in August of 2023, and was a district intern for Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-06) in the summer of 2019.

Janique’s educational background includes bachelor’s degrees in political science and Writing and Digital Media and minors in Spanish and Social Justice, which she received from Penn State University in 2022. Throughout her academic journey, she has always been passionate about learning and expanding her knowledge in various fields. She believes education is a continuous process and plans to pursue a Ph.D. to further her understanding of the policy around her.

She is particularly interested in the intersection of social justice and policy. She hopes to use her education to impact society and uplift women's voices everywhere positively.

Growing up in New Jersey, Janique enjoys spending time at the beach. She also loves to read, go to the gym, hang out with her friends, and explore new spots in DC.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION CO-CHAIR

Xylene currently serves as a Legislative Aide in the office of Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury who represents New Mexico’s 1st Congressional District. Her portfolio covers Immigration, Education, Behavioral Health, Civil Rights and an array of other issues.

Originally from Greeley, Colorado, Xylene received her Bachelor’s in Mexican-American Studies with a concentration in Social Justice and Public Policy from the University of Northern Colorado.

Through her lived experiences and intersectionality of identities Xylene has become passionate about promoting civic engagement within diverse communities.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and community. She loves trying new restaurants, exploring the city and collecting vinyl records.

OUTREACH & COMMUNITY SERVICE CO-CHAIR

Aria Austin currently serves as a Legislative Aide for Senator John Fetterman. She is the Arts & Culture policy lead, and also works on Appropriations, Agriculture, Animal Welfare, Energy, Innovation & Manufacturing, Natural Resources, Emergency Services & Disaster Relief, Science, Tech & Telecommunications, Veterans, and issues related to the Department of Interior. She previously served as a Staff Assistant for Senator Mark Warner (D-VA).

Aria holds a B.A. in Government & English minor from William & Mary, as well as a certificate in Public Policy from UPenn. This is her second-term on the WCSA board, previously serving as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chair.

Outside of work, Aria is a travel content creator and is also a singer/songwriter. If you’re ever at a Washington Chorus show or attending an open mic at Busboys & Poets, you may see her!

OUTREACH & COMMUNITY SERVICE CO-CHAIR

Gabbi Sheitelman serves as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06), handling parts of his Appropriations portfolio and Environment/Natural Resource issues. Since coming to Capitol Hill almost four years ago, she has worked in several different roles for various members of the Arizona delegation.

She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, with her three younger siblings and is a graduate of Nothern Arizona University. She enjoys pilates and trying new coffee shops in her spare time!
